Marek Dobeš

Creative director

Having been in the film business for ten years, Marek Dobeš has become one of the best Czech film and television directors and screenwriters.

Marek Dobeš has come out both as a director and a movie producer with a full-length black comedy Choking Hazard which was internationally presented on Tribeca Film Festival and then successfully sold to US market.

Born in Prague, Marek Dobeš started as a film critic in 1992 for Cinema magazine. In 1998 he obtained his Master's degree in film criticism at the Charles University College of Social Science - majoring in press and media.

Later on, he worked with prestigious film magazines (Premiere, Kinorevue, Cinema) and the TV film magazine Kinobox. Apart from his work for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival executive team, he also participated on the preparation of the Prague film festival Febiofest.

He started his screenwriting career during his university studies. Due to his specialization in film reports and interviews, he soon established himself in the film business.

In 1998, he wrote his first feature-length screenplay and the same year shot his first short film (a post-apocalyptic comedy The First Czech) with the co-production support of Filmexport company.

Marek Dobeš has written a number of feature film screenplays for various productions such as JBJ Film, North American Pictures, Punk Film, Three Brothers Production, Space Film, etc.

As a producer, director or screenwriter, he´s collaborated with Czech Television (I Was a Teenage Intellectual, tv series A Place Above), Nova TV and Punk Film (GrandSon on a hike), Warner Bros. Czech Republic (I Was a Teenage Intellectual), Bontonfilm (Choking Hazard) and last but not least Alfedus ltd (Choking Hazard and plenty of music videos).

2007 Marek Dobeš joined Alfedus ltd as a partner and a creative director.

Richard Harušťák

Company director

Born in Příbram. Since his schooldays, he´s been devoted to two crazes – business and rock music. He started his enterpreneurial activities selling drawing-boards in Tábor and has successfully developed his business in facility cleaning and maintenance services to one of the most sought companies in Prague. He started organizing concerts after he´d moved house to Želíč near Tábor. He´s collaborated with tens of rock bands like Katapult, Vodovod, Hudba Praha, etc. He´s also worked as a personal assistant of Karel Kryl.

As a manager, he´s chosen a progressive rock band SEVEN lead by Honza „Kirk“ Běhounek which he´s been devoted to since its instrumental pioneer starts. The band has been giving concerts in Moscow recently featuring special guests on the Czech music scene such as Viktor Smolski (Rage), Doro Pesch, Kamil Střihavka or Honza Toužimský.

Richard Harušťák was the first to bring singers like Doro Pesch and Blaze Biley into Czech Republic. He was one of the masterminds of Retro music club. He´s also a founder member of the Golden Tie (Zlatá kravata) business awards. His interest in Czech history, music and film joins him with Marek Dobeš. In the film business, Richard Harušťák established himself as a co-producer of Choking Hjazard featuring Jaroslav Dušek or Jan Dolanský. Along with Marek Dobeš, he produced a number of short film. A historical film about the life of Jan Žižka of Trocnov has been their utmost project so far.

Karolína Kühnelová

Chief production

Born in Prague (1989), education - business school + one year on the teaching faculty-UJEP. Always worked in the organization, whether in balls or sports (organization golf tournaments for example). Lead drama courses for children. He has experience in theater and film industry since childhood, first as an actress, gradually fell behind the camera and then the production function, which makes it the third year. She also worked as a production manager for private veterinary television TV VET. Her hobbies are: animals, children, movies, theater, culture, history, books, organizations, sports.

Jaroslav Sládeček (alfedus music)

Booking Manager

Born in Zlaté Moravce in the Slovakia Republic since 1986 has lived in Prague. Since his youth he attracted the music and the music industry. After graduating from secondary and higher vocational school transport in Prague devoted several years of production management and marketing with a focus on the Internet. In 2003 he began to actively playing the bass and gradually gaining and managerial experience. In 2005, he created the group zakázanÝovoce and his passion to become a songwriting and writing lyrics. After a successful engagement zakázanÝovoce band in summer 2010 in the Agency Alfedus Music gets half a chance to participate in the development of this music as a production agency.

Jorge Sánchez

Chief film editor

He was born in Madrid, Spain, where he studied graphic design and publicity. He moved to England where he continued his studies in Multimedia Design and started working as a freelance graphic designer. At this time he discovered his vocation for film and video production. In the year 2008 he moved to the Czech Republic in order to study film editing at FAMU, where he currently studies third year of bachelor's degree. He has already written and directed several short films, has edited lots of student films and has worked in film productions for Czech Television, Vít Olmer, Prague TV, Youngfilm and Institute of French Film among others. Nowadays he enjoys working at Alfedus and writes the scripts for his future films.

Jiří Janecký

Film editor and cameraman

Born in Roudnice nad Labem in 1986. He graduated the Technical College of Communication Engineering – Field video and audio technology - technological and organizational specialization, where he, during his studies, gained his professional experience in Czech Television and attended a number of excursions: Barandov Sound studios, film laboratories, general background of the „Vyvolení“ television reality show, TV Prima ... After a successful completion of the graduation test in 2006, with an output of a long-term work - a real animation, he started his studies at CTU, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Specialisation on software engineering and management with a focus on web and multimedia. As a part of his bachelor project, he created a Virtual projection booth with projectors Meo 5X 35mm film. Recently, he has been studiing a newly opened master´s programme there in the field of KME – communication, multimedia and electronics, specializing in multimedia technology.

Petr Janda

Film editor and cameraman

Since his childhood, he has been interested in film especially in the position of a cameraman. That is why he joined the Children's Television at the age of 12, where he got to know all basic principles of camera control and editing, in addition to many friends. Eventually, he learnt more than he´d expected before and begun to cut separate projects. After five years in Children's television, he was given a chance to work for a production company, took his chance and accepted the offer. His first editing project in the commercial area has been Votchi video clip. After several months of work, he worked his way up to the position of chief technician. In summer 2009, he visited Kids TV Camp in San Francisco and started working as a TV cameraman/editor for „Bulvár TV“ in the following year. Currently, he´s studying the final year of Higher professional school of weak current electrical engineering, due to which he´s reached a short term attachment with AV Media where he had a chance to experience the cutting of live performances or the construction of the 3D display unit.

Rosana Zvelebilová

Directing and editing

Born in Kladno, graduated Kladno grammar school, then reached the bachelor´s degree at the Faculty of Education of the Charles University, Prague, majoring in chemistry, education of technology and information technology. She has remained a student of this school so far. .
She has been a director of Tunic (www.TUNIC.cz), dealing with the creation of audiovisual works, especially records of weddings, proms, historical battles and performances, but also making non-commercial short films.

Significant references:

      - Cooperation with Tomas Houska on his film Bloodage (in 2009)

She counts Living History (reconstruction of a historical period, especially 80s of the 14th century), handicrafts and watching films among her interrests.

Ondřej Švec

Screenplay and director

As an amateur filmmaker, he has experienced a lot of film crafts. From directing, editing, production, music selection, to the screenwriting and screenplay creation. After shooting a short film Odi et amo, which was met with success at a student film festival, he was appealed to collaboration with Alfedus first as an editor, later he transformed himself into a screenwriter which he has been working as up to now. He has also participated, as an assistant of the director and cameracrew, on the Film on motion pictures Kajinek, he´s worked on videoclip of Arakain(Paganini) music band, Judo Show Cup 2009 anc on the „Živák“ live music show. As a screenwriter, he´s been currently involved in the preparation of an upcomming crazy comedy produced by Alfedus and JBJ Film by Petr Jakl. His hobbies include watching movies, especially the poor ones, that nobody is watching, film history, good literature, good food. He has recently wiped spiderwebs off his floorballstick and has even put on the dreaded running shoes. He´s been studying at the University of Pardubice, History - Literary studies.

Daniel Čulík

Editor

Born in Jablonec nad Nisou. He is 21 years old. He has recently been studying at the University of Hradec Králové(UHK), his artistic pseudonym is GorDon.

František Vaculík

Director, film editor

Born in Prague in 1990, he currently lives in Dobřichovice. He´s been studying the High school of literary culture in Prague. In his spare time he enjoys amateur filmmaking. Following his highschool studies, he would like to study filmmaking. He is interested in screenwriting and directing. He´s been working for Alfedus since summer 2009.

Anna Malátková

Film editor

Born in Prague in 1988. She´s graduated the Czech-Spanish Grammar School in Prague.Now she´s been studying the third year of the Media studies at the Charles University, Prague. In 2008/2009 she worked as an external redactor of the sports edition in Czech TV. Since 2009, she has been collaborating with Alffedus as a film editor. Her hobbies include film, sports both active and passive and, naturally, her work.

The company has been running since 1998 and has focused on music and film through personalities of its founders, Richard Harušťák and Marek Dobeš .

Richard Harušťák and Marek Dobes featured their names by the projects I was a Teenage Intellectual (co-produced by Czech Television, the creative group of Cestmir Kopecky), by a horror comedy Choking Hazard or under the success of a Honza "Kirk" Běhunek´s band "Seven.
Together they´ve produced a number of music videos and have worked with various Czech
and foreign artists and bands like Seven Arakain, a German singer Doro Pesch or a Russian girl band Volnaya Staya.
